A system indicator for display properties

It would seem only logical to include a display indicator to include functions such a brightness, display on/off toggle, window manager settings and alike. It should also be opened up to third-party software related to display settings (redshift, f.lux, compiz/fusion-icon, etc...).
I'm in two minds as to whether functions related to window managers belong in any hypothetical display indicator, but as someone who uses fusion-icon it would seem a better solution than a separate application indicator.
