Style or colour as variable
It would be very helpful to have an ability to use named variable for colour instead of RGB notation. The same with styles which holds several parameters. Just like in text editors. So changing the variable changes every object that use it.

2016-10-01 VictorWestmann : like giving colors custom names? Inside your own palette or the palette of Inkscape? Do you have any mockup / example / prototype so we can take a quick look on how should this be like?
2016-10-04 Pavel Malakhov:
Yes, it would be great to give colors custom names either inside user palette or globally in palette of Inkscape.
Example of calendar in Inkscape SVG: https:/
Common task in such a case is to create a template for month and use it with different pictures as background. We have to adjust colors to look good and clear on different background. So if we have a variable for color of all the text and another variable for all the lines we just change those variables and don't need to work with objects at all.
