Instance unusable if instance snapshot fails due to in-sufficient storage space
Creating snapshot of a running instance involves 2 steps :-
1. Nova created instance snapshot.
2. Glance uploads the snapshot created in #2 to image store.
If as part of #1 the amount of storage space assigned to create the instance snapshot (usually a temporary directory is created and then the image conversion happens) is nearly full and is not able to create instance snapshot then the instance goes into unusable state. The user who once thought of backing up his/her instance eventually looses his instance as he/she is no more able to log-in/access the instance. This is quite harmful for the user. Along with this the db entries which are created for this instance snapshot are a placeholder.
This problem can be easily reproduced.
