Display Stock Availability
Display stock availability for multiple locations; must be able to get to this information very quickly when entering a sales order.
A typical use case:
1. Customer rings up and places an order with an operator.
2. Operator enters a line for a product.
3. Customer asks if it's in stock.
4. Operator presses a button to see if it's in stock.
5. Report shows the operator that it's not in stock at this location but it is in stock at another location.
6. Ideally, the report would also show what orders are expected - a detailed listing not just of the virtual stock quantity but how many are on order and when those orders are expected.
At the moment, you can navigate to Products / Stock by Location, which comes close, but it has two problems:
1. It's not one click away from entering a sales order, which is bad for customer service.
2. It displays lots of irrelevant information - such as negative quantities for suppliers. Users do not care about such information and this clutter is bad UI design.
3. It doesn't display the name or reference of the product for which it is listing stock availability.
