Distribution of examples scripts

All the scripts in the "examples" folder should be distributed in packages. We should check that they appear to do what we expect, and that they don't spam the user's workspace with tonnes of data files since these are supposed to be simple examples with a clean output. We should also create a nice index of scripts that shows where each figure in the book comes from.
