Rally Upgrade procedure without re-install
Registered by
Oleksandr Savatieiev
Rally has 'install_rally.sh' script that deploys rally on the desired host. By default it is using latest commit from git/master branch.
On environments that is fitted with dedicated 'rally' host it is needed to update its 'src' files to newer versions. For example, client reported an issue in Rally tool and want to apply newer sources from 'master' branch. It can be solved by execution of 'git pull' command in a specific folder, but there can be trouble in package versions, DB schema change and related.
Possible option:
Option 1: Add 'upgrade' option to 'rally-manage' util
Option 2: Add 'upgrade' option to 'install_rally.sh' script
