Whiteboard
The imports should be available so that people can make use of them for at least some intrepid work.
2008-06-11 kamion: Approved as it's definitely on the right track and there's been extensive discussion (I'm not yet sure about the client-side work, but that isn't urgent and will probably need to go through a few iterations with developers). It might be worth filling in a bit more detail on the actual importer software itself, though - it'll consist of further work on bzr-builddeb, right? Specifically, what remains to be done there? How about where the branches will be published pending availability of source package branches in Launchpad?
2008-06-11 james-w: I tried to address your concerns in the latest revision. I'm not sure how much nuts and bolts to put in about the importer, I can add more if you think it needs it. As for the question of where to host the branches, I added it to the outstanding issues section; I think we'll need to speak to the launchpad team about whether they are happy for us to push all of the branches there yet.
