switch to "root" when needed
Hi All,
When I try to copy/move/create a file TO a direcory where I don't have write access, I now get a "Not Allowed" message. Instead I would prefer to have a popup "Action refused. BUT In order to copy your file here please enter your sudoer password <password TextBox here" (like with gksudo) . If I enter my password, the file is then moved/created/
This could be extended to other cases:
For instance, yesterday I wanted to install the liberation fonts from RedHat. I downloaded the tar.gz file in firefox and said firefox to open the tarball. Then, File-Roller opened .
I selected all the ttf fonts and clicked on Extract to "/usr/local/
Please, forgive my poor english.
Thanks
