Kubuntu should have a usb-creator frontend

Kubuntu doesn't have a usb-creator frontend.
There was a port started on launchpad, but i's now incomplete:

Also, the backend changed a bit recently, and so the frontend needs to be fixed to work properly, but it's still a good based to start a port of that.
Adam, usb-creator upstream, proposed his help to make it happen, and is fully opened to merge our frontend with the usb-creator code once done.
How could we make that happen for karmic ?
